With All-on-4, a complete arch of teeth is fixed onto four implants. The two back implants are usually placed at an angle to make the most of the available bone, which in some cases can reduce the need for bone grafting.
When the conditions are right, a fixed temporary bridge can be attached shortly after surgery. The final bridge, made of materials such as zirconia or acrylic on a metal framework, is fitted once the implants have healed.
Main benefits
Fixed teeth instead of a removable denture
Only four implants per arch
May reduce the need for bone grafting
Restores chewing comfort and a natural-looking smile
Who it may be suitable for
All-on-4 may be suitable if you:
Have lost most or all of your teeth in the upper or lower jaw
Have teeth that are failing because of decay or gum disease
Wear a denture and would prefer fixed teeth
Are in good general health and suitable for implant surgery
Time in Albania and number of visits
All-on-4 usually requires two trips. The first, for surgery and a temporary bridge, typically lasts about a week. The final bridge is fitted on a second trip after a healing period of several months. Your dentist will confirm the timeline after examining you.
