Implants and full-arch solutions
A long-term, fixed solution for missing teeth that looks, feels and functions much like a natural tooth.
A dental implant is a small titanium or zirconia post that is placed in the jawbone, where it takes the place of the tooth root. Over the following months the bone bonds with the implant, creating a stable base for a crown, a bridge or a denture.
Before treatment, your dentist assesses your bone with a 3D CBCT scan and plans the position of each implant. If there is not enough bone, a bone graft or sinus lift may be recommended first.
Implants may be suitable if you:
Implant treatment is usually completed in two stages. On the first trip the implants are placed, typically over a stay of several days. After a healing period of around three to six months, a second trip is needed to fit the final crowns or bridge. A temporary solution can often be provided in between. Your dentist will confirm the timeline for your case.
